San Diego is the perfect place for events, but with a lot of events comes a lot of waste. It is estimated that events waste over 10% of everything they produce, with around 4lbs of landfill waste generated per attendee. Sustainability is Sexy is dedicated to assisting event organizers, vendors, volunteers, and attendees with zero-waste strategies and onsite waste diversion.

Sustainability is Sexy is dedicated to inspiring creative solutions to the global climate crisis on a local level. Our Zero Waste Event Services, Podcast, and Education Programming help to inspire individuals and organizations to make a difference in their own lives and communities.
From festivals, to conferences, and everything in between, fun events are everywhere in San Diego. But with events comes a lot of waste. On average, attendees generate around 4.66 lbs of waste per person, and large festivals can generate thousands of pounds per day. Our Zero Waste Event Services help organizers to strategize low-waste event planning and our onsite Waste Warriors will assist vendors, attendees, and volunteers to divert waste onsite.
